Pin marking, also known as dot peen marking, is a method of engraving that uses a carbide pin to create permanent marks on various materials. This process involves the pin striking the surface to form indents that create characters, numbers, logos, and other designs. Different pins are used according to different requirements and for marking different surfaces.
Specification :
- EN3 is 3mm indenter pin with cartridge set
- Low cost, durable with high hardness made from Carbide or hard alloy of HRC 65 and above
- Pin Tip can be polished for reworking
- Indenter Pin Cartridge Material is Aluminium or Brass
- Pneumatic marking pin set (includes spring, O-rings, stylus indenting pin, pin cover)
- Indenter pin set air pressure should in the range of 0.3-0 .6 pa
Different pins are used according to different requirements and for marking different surfaces. How to select correct indenter marking pin?
Selecting the Correct Pin:
1. Stylus Size:
• Φ2, Φ4LP: Suitable for aluminum and other low hardness products
• Φ3, Φ4, Φ4L: Suitable for normal marking requirements
• Φ4D, Φ5LD, Φ6LD: Suitable for applications requiring a certain depth
2. Stylus Length:
• 30mm, 42mm, 45mm: Ideal for portable marking machines
• 56mm, 60mm: Suitable for normal marking and bench top marking machines
• 75mm, 76mm, 110mm: Lengthened marking pins are mainly used for marking narrow parts that normal marking pins cannot reach, such as modified motorcycle engine numbers
Application:
Dot peen marking is widely used in various industries, including:
• Automobile: Bodywork of motorcycles, car frames, automotive chassis, engines
• Mechanical Parts: Machine tools, metal pipes, gears, pump bodies, valves
• Plastic Products: Various hardness plastic products, hardware parts
• Aeronautics, Electronics, War and Light Industry: Marking steel, iron, copper, aluminum, and plastic parts, as well as various nameplates
